This video was created based off Michael Craig-Martin's "An Oak Tree". In "An Oak Tree", a glass of water is represented as an oak tree because the artist says that the water underwent a transformation. In reality, the artist changed the context of the glass of water, from a normal functional glass of water to on a shelf in a gallery where it is a tree, which allows the transformation to occur. In my video, I changed the context of "The Office" from a standard comedic sitcom to a dramatic story that is represented as a work of art. Much like how the glass of water is redefined when the context is changed, the genre of "The Office" is redefined. In both cases the viewer is likely to question whether or not a transformation actually occurred. The glass of water still is in the shape of a glass of water, and "The Office" may sill cause people to laugh although it is now a drama.
